Using art-making alongside talking to explore experiences that may be hard to put into words.
Art Psychotherapy offers a safe and reflective space to explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words. Creative expression allows feelings, memories, and patterns to emerge in ways that support insight and self-understanding. The process is about expression, not creating a finished piece.
Through drawing, painting, collage, or other forms of image-making, you and your therapist can work together to make sense of complex or painful experiences. The artwork can hold what feels hard to say, creating a bridge towards greater clarity, resilience, and self-compassion.
Art Psychotherapy is used in many areas of mental health and wellbeing, including trauma, anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. It can help people discover new ways of relating to themselves and others, and to move forward with greater confidence and care.
